➢ 003 [video]

In the 19 days, 22 hours, 11 minutes, and 8 seconds since my arrival [plus the time delay between the start and uploading of this video], I have come across something very interesting through conversations with fellow Wardens and Inmates:

While there are a surprising many who have never heard of the Green Lantern Corps, even more surprising is the number of individuals who claim to fight for a similar cause.  I have heard words such as 'vigilantism' and 'heroism' used often, along with the concept of fighting against the law in order to do what is right.

This appears to be a contradictory statement, however, and I wonder if I my auditory senses were malfunctioning or simply did not process the words correctly.

[She pauses, allowing this much to absorb before leading into her question.]

I am curious--are there many aboard who are familiar with Heroes of your respective worlds?  And what do you believe makes them Heroes?

I've asked a few people similar questions and I feel like a lot of it comes down to if a person subscribes to relative morality versus absolute morality and all of their variations.

Relative. There are so many people from so many different universes in this place. I don't see how anything could be "absolute", there are too many circumstances to consider.

What you consider "right" might be what someone considers "wrong". And what are the consequences to fighting for what's right? Aren't there times when it's better to let something go, than to fight for it in some shape or form?

I've done a couple of things that I thought were "right" and I wish I'd spent more time reflecting on them or taking a different route.

[Contemplates for a moment and then nods his head in agreement.]

You're right. I guess a better way to put it is, I think most things are relative to the person's life experience, but there are some absolutes? Like you should never try to purposefully hurt someone you care about.

What about if it's someone who tried to hurt other people and their plan back fired? If you help them, chances are they'll hurt someone again.

What about if they killed people, escaped and killed even more innocent people, and there's a good chance they'll escape again and kill even more people? If someone like that called out for help, would you help them? Maybe not directly here but in a port, for example.

But what if there was a very real possibility they'd break out of the confinement?

[Shakes his head.] Never mind.
