[A human-looking Aya appears on screen. A somewhat confused, hesitant Aya. Her eyes full of life, and facial expressions suddenly betraying every last emotion.]

I...do not know how long this change will last. Not long, I presume.

[And here, a human hand raises to the spot where her green lantern symbol remains. Where her heart is suddenly beating.]

My memories are fuzzy. I recall waking up, itself strange as my artificial form did not require sleep. I remember...pain. But not much else.

However, I have this...this feeling...that there are individuals I have hurt. As badly as I was hurt. And to them, I wish to say that I am...sorry. So very, very sorry.

((ooc: As Aya's switching of "powers" with Stephanie results in the loss of her Artificial Intelligence programming status...the corruption that has affected her is temporarily gone as well. Thus, she will temporarily be feeling like her old self. Only even stronger, emotionally.))

[Aya tries to look at least a little Guilty as she addresses the Network, but the thoughts running through her mind are far too clear by the expression on her face. She is happy. Possibly even excited.]

The majority of my daily responsibilities have been seen to. However, if there is something I have overlooked in my...haste, I would be pleased to take care of it before my departure.

[Aya felt...strange.]

[Her scanners detected nothing wrong. They never did. She was operating at full capacity. Her reserves charged, systems online and alert. Even her lovely new teflon coating--a recent experiment with regards to physical appearance she wanted to attempt--looked pristine. But she still felt strange. Strange enough that, as the video began, she sat in her room carefully scanning through the wide range of projected monitors all across her wall. Just in case. Eyes slightly glowing, pausing only when the visuals required changing.]

[Even stranger yet, in the middle of her work...she began to sing:]

This was a triumph.
I'm making a note here: HUGE SUCCESS.
It's hard to overstate my satisfaction.
Aperture Science
We do what we must
because we can.
For the good of all of us.
Except the ones who are dead.

[She pauses for a moment, frowning at herself.]

[Then...a slightly out of character shrug, and she finishes off her impromptu declaration.]

[Aya has had quite the month. The last time there was a sudden, unexpected lapse in her memory banks...she lost her inmate. This time, she appears to have gained one. Someone she already knew. A...friendly acquaintance, who shared a commonality that many others on the Barge did not. Because David 8 was also an Artificial Intelligence.]

[However, this was not the reason for Aya's bewildered presence on the Network. The young robot held, in both hands, a small composition of papers with handwriting. Written in a language that few aboard, if any, would recognize, but that she very obviously did. A letter. Addressed to her. That, in itself, did not surprise her so much as who it was from.]

[Which might explain why her normally confident, composed presence had been replaced by the demeanor of a shy, young girl. If possible, her voice softer than before:]

Red Lantern Razer was here.

[She says the words, as if still attempting to convince herself that they were true. Razer had been here. On the Barge. His every encounter documented in the report he had left for her.]

He says...when I return to the Interceptor, there is something he wishes to tell me. But he does not specify what that something is, despite his detailed analysis of his approximately 67 hours in my place. [Give or take a couple sleep cycles] I... [She is hesitant. Unsure.] ...I would like to know if there is anyone whom he had encountered. If he said anything in particular.

[It was like a switch had been turned back on.]

[One moment, the feminine Artificial Intelligence had been lying prone on the repair table. No signs of life. Frighteningly still. Then, without warning, her eyes shot open. A brief duration--lasting 2.9 seconds--in which her systems fully restored themselves to maximum functioning levels, at which time she sat straight up. As if she hadn’t spent over an entire week’s time in the robotic equivalent of a coma.]

[In fact, the entire experience had been near instantaneous for her; Aya glanced around a room that was very much not her own, immediately curious as to how she had gotten there. And what had happened to cause this apparent gap in her memory database.]

I appear to have suffered a spontaneous, total system shut-down. Preliminary scans indicate I have returned to full capacity...however, if my brief analysis of recent Network activity is accurate, I have missed a great deal.

[A subtle, physical reaction to the token that had once connected her to Pyro. It was no longer active, and she could not sense his presence aboard the ship.]

Any additional information that could be provided in relation to my unexpected predicament would be greatly appreciated.

[In the aftermath of her inmate's latest venture in ~~robot porn~~ writing, Aya makes an announcement to the ship as a whole. Normally, this would be something for Wardens' eyes. But she has friends who are inmates as well. Inmates who are familiar with Pyro. It seemed right to include them.]

Pyro has been brought to Level Zero for...several infractions. At least one of which, I am certain you are all aware of.

He will remain there until a time, as of yet, undetermined.

[The fact that she was--for once--being purposely vague betrays her. Despite the perpetually calm tone, she's still extremely displeased with this latest turn of events.]

Upon his release, I should like to inform the ship that his recreational privileges have been suspended. As well as his access to any lighters or other sources of flames.

[There is a noticeable amount of concern in both tone and subtle facial features as Aya addresses the feed directly. Even as she speakers, her eyes continue to scan the darkened area around her. As it was, only the faint glow of her construct body provided enough light for her to be visible on the screen.]

[But she is cut off as something just beyond catches her attention. Not just catches it...but captivates entirely.]

[The camera drops to the ground in shock, the last image of Aya appearing wide-eyed.]

[The feed turns on to reveal a 5-year-old robot staring wide-eyed at the camera. She is unharmed, save for the slight scorch marks across her metal components. And a few feathers still flying through the air.]

[All things considered, Aya appears to be in fairly good spirits this time. She is neither confused, nor showing any signs of duress, nor has she been dismantled or had her circuitry disrupted in any way. In fact, she is even smiling.]

It would appear I had still undergone some minor reprograming during our most recent Floor. Regardless of this minor annoyance, I must admit, retaining my full sentience while assuming the form of a small, quadrupedal Earth mammal was...interesting.

[Translation: she had fun being a bunny.]

[Her expression soon takes on a more apologetic--almost sheepish--look to it, as her memory banks recall something.]

Though, I do wish to apologize to the Earth wildcat I encountered during my partial transformation. It was not my intention to chase you up a machine intended for sanitizing wardrobes, and I meant you no harm.

If there is any individual abroad the ship who is aware of the identity of this Earth wildcat, will you please relay this message for me? I would be most grateful.

[Poor Aya's seen better days. her mechanical components are all scuffed up, with noticeable scorch marks across one hand. The normally emerald-colored construct making up the majority of her facial and bodily features has a yellowish tint to it. She is stable for the moment, but only thanks to the several machines she is currently hooked up to. When she speaks, her voice comes out distorted, as if through a pair of heavily warped speakers.]

In the 19 days, 22 hours, 11 minutes, and 8 seconds since my arrival [plus the time delay between the start and uploading of this video], I have come across something very interesting through conversations with fellow Wardens and Inmates:

While there are a surprising many who have never heard of the Green Lantern Corps, even more surprising is the number of individuals who claim to fight for a similar cause. I have heard words such as 'vigilantism' and 'heroism' used often, along with the concept of fighting against the law in order to do what is right.

This appears to be a contradictory statement, however, and I wonder if I my auditory senses were malfunctioning or simply did not process the words correctly.

[She pauses, allowing this much to absorb before leading into her question.]

I am curious--are there many aboard who are familiar with Heroes of your respective worlds? And what do you believe makes them Heroes?

Her lids are half-shut and her voice is weak. She does not appear to be in any pain, though her skin has taken on an unhealthy shade: specifically, a yellowish-green.]

[Even more specifically, the reflection of a small collection of yellow crystals scattered around the area]

I did not anticipate encountering the Crystals here.

They appear to be affecting my power levels as much as before. Assistance may be...necessary...in the foreseeable future....

((ooc: Aya's one weakness is a mysterious alien yellow crystal that drains her power systems. It just so happens that a similar type of crystal exists in the Indiana Jones universe. Coincidence? Duh, but one that was too tempting to resist.))

Her expression remains fairly neutral, although there are hints of emotions flickering if one were to observe closely enough. Curiosity. Excitement. Determination. [After all, she had given up much to come here. But for all the right reasons.]

Greetings. I am the Aya Program.

[Her voice is robotic, yet somehow still warm.]

I have been brought here to serve as Warden. This is a mission I have willingly accepted and well prepared for. Unlike the last Prison I visited, it is my understanding that this Barge is actually meant for rehabilitation, redemption, and/or making amends. All concepts I am familiar with.

It is my understanding that, prior to my arrival, there were several unfortunate incidents that occurred. Many of them recent. While I do not fully understand the exact nature of what has happened, as a Green Lantern, it would be a disservice to not offer my assistance in any way possible.
